Assistance becoming independent

We know that to truly change lives, our support can’t stop at the doors of house where they’ve been raised. They need to be able to create a life for themselves within Uganda.  Therefore, we support each child in his or her first steps outside the orphanage as they find a way to support themselves. We want them to pursue their own dreams – in setting up their own business, finding a job within an existing company or pursuing a position that they have trained for in school such as in car repair, hair styling or cosmetics.

 

So far, two of our kids have left the orphanage and are successfully running their own small businesses.  Three other kids are managing an internet café. These are our stories of success so far:
